About the Event

Steve Hughes will watch your selftape and give feedback on what worked well and crucially some learning objectives. Limited to only 30 places! They will also choose a special mention from the group who will be in with the chance of winning a cash prize every 4 workshops. Subject to the privacy settings on scripts provided allowing shares online. 

Important dates:

  • A selection of scenes will be sent to actors on Friday 10th March by 7pm
  • Selftapes must be emailed over to us in unlisted youtube link format on Monday 13th March by 7pm
  • Industry Professional's feedback sent to your email in written, voice note or filmed format on Sunday 19th March by 7pm*

*Please be aware that Industry professionals taking part are actively casting within the industry and this can sometimes result in a delay in receiving feedback.

About Steve Hughes

Steve is a high-end BAFTA-winning director with 18 years of experience, helming over 100 hours of content during that time.

Credits include: Casualty (BBC), Doctor Who (BBC), Waterloo Road (BBC), Miss Scarlet & The Duke (Alibi), Killing Eve (BBC America), Strike Back (Sky), Creeped Out (CBBC/Netflix), Wolfblood, Midsummer Murders (ITV), Holby City (BBC), The Evermoor Chronicles (Disney), The Last Bus (Netflix). He has also been the go to 2nd Unit Director for big budget, international drama including Killing Eve (BBC), Treadstone (Amazon), Strike Back (Sky Cinema) and The Feed (Amazon).

His episodes have won Best Continuing Drama at the RTS Awards (twice in 2015 and 2022), BAFTA Awards (2022) and Broadcast Awards (2022) where the judging panel made special mention of his contribution to the drama’s COVID 19 episode.
