Sean Glynn is an award-winning film and television director

Credits include: 186+ Episode on Hollyoaks, Hope Street, Casualty, Holby City, Hollyoaks and London Kills. His short films 'Leadbelly" and 'SnapCatch' have both been successful on the International Festival Circuit winning Best Film and Best Director awards. He has won 'Most Spectacular Scene' at the British Soap Awards and

'Best Comedy Drama' at the British Comedy Awards. He is developing his first feature film, along with a returnable television series. Alongside his directing work, he is passionate about working with actors and runs numerous workshops on screen acting.

What's In Store For You?

🔹  Select your own scene: We'd love to see a self-tape you've already nailed for another workshop or audition! Pick one where you felt you truly shined. Feeling creative? You can write and perform your own piece, or take on an iconic scene from a show you've always dreamed of acting out. Let your imagination run wild! A great place to look is the BBC Script Library at BBC Script Library. Scripts should be no longer than 2.5 minutes (about 2 pages) and must not have any current  NDAs and privacy settings.

🔹 Personalised Feedback: Sean will review your self-tape live on Zoom in groups of 6. Expect feedback that is insightful and actionable for future selftape requests. Your tape and feedback will be shared with 5 other actors in your group. Can't make it? Let us know and we will have the feedback recorded and send it on.

🔹 Special Mention and Cash Prize: Chance to win a £100 cash prize! Sean will select a performer from the workshop who she considers a special mention. Four special mention actor tapes are uploaded to our social media and voted for by our followers. The winner takes home £100!

*If selected, your participation in the special mention competition is entirely up to you.

📆 Important dates :

Tuesday 13th August at 7pm - Deadline for selftapes sent to us.

Wednesday 14th August - An email in which you can book your slot will be sent to those who have submitted a tape. Please be advised that every participant will have a slot allocated; however, specific time slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thursday 15th August - Booking closes.

Saturday 17th August from 10am Sean's Zoom feedback sessions from 10-1pm. Each session lasts 40 minutes and accommodates up to 6 actors. Below, you'll find an example of the time slots for a full workshop. Please note that if the workshop isn't fully booked or some actors request emailed feedback instead, we'll adjust the schedule to ensure efficient use of time for our Directors. This may involve starting with removing the last slot(s) in the day.
