Manuel Puro Selftape Workshop. Filming window Friday 12th May - Tuesday 16th May

Manuel Puro will watch your selftape and give feedback on what worked well and crucially some learning objectives. Limited to only 30 places! They will also choose a special mention from the group who will be in with the chance of winning a cash prize every 4 workshops. Subject to the privacy settings on scripts, allowing us to share online. 

Important dates:

• A selection of scenes will be sent to actors on Friday 12th May by 7pm
• Selftapes must be emailed over to us in unlisted youtube link format on Tuesday 16th May by 7pm
• Industry Professional's feedback sent to your email in written, voice note or filmed format on Monday 22nd May by 7pm*

About Manuel Puro

Manuel has over 25 years casting experience working across feature films, television, computer games, music videos, commercials and shorts.

Projects include MOON and MUTE directed by Duncan Jones, Oscar and BAFTA nominated SHAUN THE SHEEP: FARMAGEDDON for Aardman Animation and PLANET OF THE APES: THE LAST FRONTIER, the first in-house video game from Andy Serkis’ The Imaginarium.

Manuel is regularly invited to host mentoring sessions with organizations such as the National Film and Television School, iFeatures and the Directors Guild of Great Britain, and has held casting workshops all over the world.

He was the winner of Mandy.com’s inaugural Casting Director of the Year Award – voted by actors for the CD they felt most comfortable with and who they thought got the best out of them.

Prior to setting up his own casting company, Manuel was head of development at SKA Films – Matthew Vaughn and Guy Ritchie’s production company - responsible for their full slate of film and television projects.

He also worked with agent Michael Foster, then co-chairman of Europe’s leading talent agency ICM, to assist with an A-list roster of clients including Hugh Grant, Rachel Weisz, Sean Bean, Michael Caine, Kristin Scott Thomas, Ben Kingsley and Julie Christie.
