About the Event
Elevate Your Acting Skills in our Casting Workshop with Charlie Metcalf from the Royal Shakespare Company Casting Team!
Charlie initially trained as an actress before gaining a BA in History and Theatre Studies, followed by an MA in Classical Theatre. After completing a Communications internship at the Royal Court Theatre, she moved into Talent Management, working at some of London’s top agencies — first as an assistant, then managing her own successful client list across Theatre, Television, Film, and Radio.
After more than eight years as an Agent, Charlie joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), where she has spent the past six years working as Casting Assistant and Children’s Casting Director.
She is passionate about Arts Education, having taught Drama and Musical Theatre, and led workshops for several Stage Schools, Local Councils, and Youth Services. She specializes in Classical Theatre, with a focus on unlocking Shakespeare for all ages.
