#CastMeComp
Here at Do or Die Studios, we have been looking into ideas on how we can support creatives and local communities through these
uncertain times.
Thats why we created the #CastMeComp - A competition which will allow actors to keep active and learning, writers scribbling, Industry professionals seeing new talent and enable us to help charities who are in critical need.
Information
How it works
- The competition is open to all actors over the age of 18 and with self tape facilities. If you are currently isolating on your own don't worry we don't mind if someone reads in with you via FaceTime.
-
The competition will cost £8.20 to enter. This will create the CastMeComp money pot, this pot will then be distributed to the winning actor, a charity, creatives involved and our Creative Collaboration Fund. Details can be found below.
-
To enter you MUST share our social media competition post, follow us on all avalible socials (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and purchase a ticket.
-
Ticket sales close on Wednesday 9th December or until sold out.
-
On Wednesday 9th December we will send out scripts to all actors by 2pm. There are four scripts sent out to choose from, these scripts are now avalible to be interpritated how you wish - we will not be giving suggested age or gender.
-
The Winner and Top 5 will be announced on Saturday 19th December. The actor with the winning selftape will recieve a £500 cash prize and the top 5 will also receive written feedback from our industry professional judge.

Creative Collab Fund
-
When life gets moving Do or Die Studios are going to get creatives together and begin to produce short scenes.
-
We will open applications for writers to send duologues and successful writers will be paid from the fund.
-
We will need actors for these scenes who will be cast through self tapes - successful actors will also be paid PLUS they will receive showreel material for free.
-
We will then get a filmmaker/director involved who will also be paid - we want to work closely with filmmaking school students and graduates.
-
We will also ensure industry professional mentors are on hand for any guidance and tips.
